Block, ball raced, mini - 6 mm sheave

Block, ball raced, micro - 6 mm sheave. SAILSetc design and manufacture. A beautifully simple design of block for lines up to 0.5 mm Ø.

6 mm sheave, 12.5 mm long, 8 mm wide, 4.5 mm thick, 1.5 mm Ø fastener holes.

Suitable for use with the main winch loop system on 65 Class and smaller boats. Useful for other applications on miniature craft.

Intended to be used with 15 to 35 kg BS Dyneema. Designed to be used suspended on 35 or 55 kg BS Dyneema line.

For boats up to Footy size use the 61-004. For boats up to 65 Class use 061-006. For boats up to the IOM, M and 10R use 61-008 or 61-010. For boats as large as an A Class use 061-013.

NB When suspending the block on a line it is important that the line passes through both holes in the block in the way shown in the thumbnail sketches above.

SAILSetc blocks have black plastic bodies, which may be injection moulded, turned, or printed. The sheaves are stainless steel, but not marine grade stainless steel, and have hardened rust-resistant balls. Fasteners provided are marine grade stainless steel. Other metal parts, if any, are marine grade stainless steel.
