Use a new modelling knife blade to carve this material. Can be abraded to shape using our very coarse abrasives, ref. WD-COARSE.

Use double sided tape to apply to the hull while it is being carved to shape and then use an impact/contact adhesive (e.g. IMPACT, BOSTIK, EVOSTIK) to bond to the hull.

Clean the aft face of the bumper and the area of bow that you will apply the bumper to using acetone or alcohol. Add masking tape around the area of hull that will have the bumper bonded to it. Allow the solvent to dry and apply a thick film of the glue to the back of the bumper and a thinner film to the bow of the boat. Allow to dry for 15 minutes, or as prescribed, and then push the bumper firmly onto the hull. Carefully clean off the excess glue and peel off the masking tape.

Also known as a fender, bow fender, gummi.
