Block, ball raced, small - 8 mm sheave

Block, ball raced, small - 8 mm Ø sheave. Replacement for PKB deck mounting block.

Non-snag design. Suitable for use with 15 to 75 kg Dyneema or lines up to 0.7 mm Ø. A block for deck mounting with the same fastener spacing as the PKB deck mounting block so it is a direct replacement.

Available with a partner piece if required to ease fastening of the block in inaccessible places.

The sheave is a stainless steel ball race and the block has the lowest friction of all the similar items we have tested. This is the smaller of two otherwise identical items but has enough strength for the sheet loads in boats up to Ten Rater size. Suitable for Dyneema line from 15 kg up to 75 kg breaking strain. It can be dismantled and maintained with no danger to the bearing.

Each block is supplied with fasteners.

SAILSetc blocks have black plastic bodies, which may be injection moulded, turned, or printed. The sheaves are stainless steel, but not marine grade stainless steel, and have hardened rust-resistant balls. Fasteners provided are marine grade stainless steel. Other metal parts, if any, are marine grade stainless steel.
