For the aft end of Marblehead and 10 Rater headsail booms. Designed to minimise the risk of the headsail sheet fouling around the aft end of the boom in a gybe. Adjustable length to suit different roach widths.

Details

Boom end fitting - for 8 or 10 mm Ø CF spar.

Bond into the aft end of the boom tube using epoxy resin. Ensure the inside of the boom is abrades and cleaned with solvent before bonding. Reinforce the bond by aiming to have the clew fitting, ref 105-080 or 105-100, positioned near the end of the tube as shown in the thumbnail sketch.
