Headsail boom kit based on a lightweight 10.0 mm diameter alloy round section. A comprehensive kit containing the spar material, drawing and all the fittings required to make a No 1 headsail boom for an IOM No 1 rig. Items 46-100 and 46B are not included but 46-100 and lock is an option. Choose other options and to have the kit completed if required.

Details

Headsail boom kit, lightweight alloy tube 10 mm Ø, 400 mm long. Natural.

The spar material is a super hard alloy tube which is light enough to goosewing well in light airs. It is strong enough to work well at the top end of No 1 rig conditions too.

Items 46-100 & 46B are not included but 46-100 and lock is an option. Choose other options and to have the kit completed if required.

Headsail boom swivel ref 120-100 provides a robust and low friction swivel for this boom.

Choose counterbalance weight ref 102-15 or 102-20 depending on the length of the boom and the weight of the sail.

DRILL BLOCKS

Make completion of rig and boom kits easier by using the drill blocks (to aid drilling holes in the correct place and attitude) and boom fitting assembly block (to add fittings at correct attitude). See DB-BOOM, DB-MAST-110 and BFAB.
