Fittings set for a swing rig for the FOOTY class:
General features:
- Swing rig block to join 3 mm Ø main and fore yards to 4 mm Ø mast
- Mast head to join 2 mm Ø backstay crane to 3 mm Ø mast
- Two boom ends for 3 mm Ø yards
- Two boom ends for 2 mm Ø (and 2 for 3 mm) headsail boom
- One headstay attachment
- Five boom bands for 3 mm Ø yards
- Five boom bands for 2 mm Ø headsail boom.
No spars or other parts are included in the Fittings Set.
Bowsies, 15 kg breaking strain Dyneema, grommets and wire are provided in the Rigging Pack if chosen.
The spars required to complete a rig from these parts are:
- 4 mm Ø carbon tube for the lower part of the mast
- 3 mm Ø carbon rod for the mast above the headstay, the main yard and the fore yard, and the headsail boom if preferred
- 2 mm Ø carbon rod for the headsail boom and backstay crane
