Rip stop polyester sail cloth

Rip stop polyester sail cloth. White, 85 or 150 grams per square metre. Suitable for sails of non-racing model yachts.

1500 mm wide, with a rip stop weave as used for spinnakers but made using Polyester yarn instead of Nylon.

Suitable for model up to 1.3 metres long and for light wind sails for larger craft.

Joining this material - adding tabling

Use 10 mm wide double sided tape, ref TS-10, to make seams to join the panels of sails. Use one of more layers of 12 mm wide Mylar tape, ref TM-12 , for the luff reinforcement of mainsails and headsails. Use 18 mm Icarex tape to form a pocket on a headsail luff, ref TP-18 & TP-WHITE. And use 4 mm wide Mylar tape, ref TM-04, for leech tapes.

Making battens

SAILSetc medium batten material, ref. BM-M, is no longer available, sorry. Use thin plastic sheet (Plasticard), thin plywood of other suitably stiff and flat waterprrof material with double sided tape for battens.
