Headsail boom swivel - various Ø. Ball raced headsail boom swivel for use with round boom sections. Bend the wire to form a suitable hook. Spare wire provided.

The design of the fitting means no holes are required in the boom at the point of greatest bending moment (stress) thus minimising the chance of failure. Adjustment to the position of the part is easy to achieve because the part has a spring grip on the boom. Additional security can be provided by adding a spot of cyanoacrylate glue or a wrap of tape each side of the part.

For 8 mm Ø

For use on US 1M, 36R, 36/600 and similar sized boats. The swivel wire is 1.5 mm Ø and may not fit a 35-020 eyebolt in the deck depending on the shape of the hook. A 35-008 or 35-025 will probably be a better choice of fitting for the deck. The correct bearing replacement is BF-120D.

For 10 mm Ø

For use on US 1M, 36R, 36/600, IOM, M, 10R and similar sized boats. The swivel wire is 1.5 mm Ø and may not fit a 35-020 eyebolt in the deck depending on the shape of the hook. A 35-008 or 35-025 will probably be a better choice of fitting for the deck. The correct bearing replacement is BF-120D.

For 11 mm Ø

For use on 36R, IOM, M, 10R and similar sized boats. The swivel wire is 1.5 mm Ø and may not fit a 35-020 eyebolt in the deck depending on the shape of the hook. A 35-008 or 35-025 will probably be a better choice of fitting for the deck. The correct bearing replacement is BF-120D.

For 12 mm Ø

For use on M, 10R, 6M, A Class and similar sized boats. Do not use for lower rigs on A Class. The swivel wire is 1.8 mm Ø which fits a 35-008 or 35-025 eyebolt in the deck. The correct bearing replacement is BF-120-120.

For 14 mm Ø

For use on 6M, A Class, J Class 1/12 ACC and similar sized boats. The swivel wire is 1.8 mm Ø which fits a 35-008 or 35-025 eyebolt in the deck. The correct bearing replacement is BF-120-140.
