Ball raced - 14 mm Ø - medium

Ball raced gooseneck/compression strut unit for use with 14 mm round mast tube and suitable for M, 10R or similar size boats where the gooseneck unit is sunk into the deck.

The body and boom end of this gooseneck unit are injection moulded and enable simpler bearings and other details to be used. Designed to fit 14 mm carbon tube and to rotate concentrically around the mast axis.

Choose the version of 12B dependent on the depth of recess at the mast position:

12B-QUARK - for 40-45 mm recess - QUARK, PRIME NUMBER, DIAMOND

12B-M - for 30-35 mm recess - EMME

12B-NIOU - for 20-25 mm recess - NIOUTRAM

12C - for flat deck boats.

The ideal boom for these goosenecks is a simple piece of 14 mm carbon tube requiring no special bonding to fit the gooseneck unit. If necessary to prevent the boom from rotating under load it can be locked in place using a small self-tapping screw.

Replacement bearings - choose BP-012B from the SPARES section of this website.

Mast ram insert, item 140-M3, provides for inserting a M3 nut where required for the type of mast ram used on NIOUTRAM - may be useful on other boats.
