Fin alignment tool
Details
If you have ever wondered why you have kept up with another boat on one tack, but it climbed away from you on the other, then you need to check the fore and aft alignment of your fin. Even professionally built boats can have minor mis-alignment that is well worth rectifying (assuming the fin is removable from the hull).
The short kit of parts requires assembly and:
- two x 400-600 mm lengths of 11 mm Ø mast tube and
- two miniature plumb bobs, 15 or 25 kgs Dyneema, bowsies and 1.5 mm Ø wire.
The full kit provides two 600 mm lengths of 11 mm Ø mast tube but not materials for the plumb bobs.
