Ball raced - 14 mm Ø - medium

Ball raced gooseneck/compression strut unit for use with 14 mm round mast tube and suitable for M, 10R or similar size boats where the boat has a flat deck.

The body and boom end of this gooseneck unit are injection moulded and enable simpler bearings and other details to be used. In fact the boom end is the same item as that used on our well known 12B gooseneck but fitted the other way up. Designed to fit 14 mm carbon tube and to rotate concentrically around the mast axis this item is ideal for use on any flat decked boats. It is an alternative to gooseneck unit item 12C but without the work of making the boom for the 12C item.

The boom is a simple piece of 14 mm carbon tube requiring no special bonding to fit the gooseneck unit. If necessary to prevent the boom from rotating under load it can be locked in place using a small self-tapping screw.
