Heel fitting - ball raced. For a swing rig with a 14 mm Ø mast and a mast trunking of 17 mm internal Ø. Ball races minimise the friction of this item and permit much freer rotation in light airs than the PTFE bearings.

Suitable for use on all SAILSetc Marbleheads with swing rigs.

This item is now made with a cup-like heel fitting that caps the lower end of the mast and prevents it from splitting. A robust fitting that is a friction fit on our standard 14 mm Ø carbon mast tubes.

Two versions - the standard version is for a 12 mm internal Ø mast, the other for a 10 mm internal Ø mast.

Details

The overall length of the fitting is 26 mm. The mast penetrates 15 mm into the cup part giving an extension of 11 mm of the heel fitting beyond the end of the mast spar itself.

Suitable for use on all SAILSetc Marbleheads with swing rigs. The cup is a friction fit on our standard 14 mm Ø carbon mast tubes.

Two versions - the standard version is for a 12 mm internal Ø mast, the other for a 10 mm internal Ø mast.
