Details

Ball raced gooseneck/kicking strap unit for use with 14 mm Ø round mast tube and suitable for M, 10R, 6M or similar size boats where the boat has a flat deck.

Designed to fit a 14 mm carbon tube mast and to rotate concentrically around the mast axis, this item is ideal for use on any flat decked boat where a conventional boom and kicking strap format is required.

The choices

Choose a version to suit a round boom of 10, 11, 12 or 14 mm Ø tube that fits into the boom end fitting provided. For these options the boom tube requires no special bonding to fit the boom end unit. Choose a kicking strap or a compression strut to work with these options;

Choose a version with a bent boom end that lowers the boom by 25 mm at the forward end - particularly useful for Marblehead and Ten Rater class boats with a flat deck. The boom should be 14 mm Ø carbon tube with 12 mm reinforcement inside and has to be joined to the boom end fitting using epoxy resin with microballoons. The kicking strap is the correct choice with this option.
